This is Dawn Waterhouse’s passionate collection from her recently sold Georgian style home in Deakin. Having moved from her family home of Calthorpes’ House in 1950, Dawn continued to build on her Early Canberra collection. Her enthusiasm for Canberra’s early history developed at a young age after experiencing the excitement of the opening of Parliament House in 1927. Featured items from her collection of over 150 lots include a Lionel Lindsay etching of Chris Brennan, a Chinese Blue and White Prunus Vase, Joseph Sankey Copper Trays and much more.
